Experience Opal Creek
Program fees make up a portion of our operating expenses, but do not cover all of them. Generous donations from individuals and foundations make up the rest. We have various levels of membership available, and membership has it's rewards including 10% off workshop, summer programs, and cabin rentals. Our members also enjoy a "members only" reservation period to give them first shot at the calendar before we open the rentals to the public.
The 35,000 acre intact watershed, spanning ridge top to ridge top, that surrounds Jawbone Flats is one of the last remnants of the forests that once blanketed the entire western slope of the Cascades.
Jawbone Flats provides the perfect context to get away from the distractions of everyday life and to connect with the ancient forest. We have accommodations for groups of 2-50, and anything in between. When you rent a cabin from Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center, you are directly supporting the education programs that occur in the forest. See our
cabin rental page for more information about our rentals.
