Education Programs
Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center runs a variety of hands on, dynamic science education programs for students of all ages. The 35,000 acre intact watershed that surrounds our Jawbone Flats campus provides the perfect teaching environment for students to learn all the intricate details of how the forest works. We believe that experiential education is the way that people truly learn about the natural world. Nothing compares to sticking your hands in the cold water looking for amphibians and macro invertebrates or walking beneath trees that have stood guard in the forest for centuries.
