An investment in Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center is an investment in the future: the future of this great state, the future of our children, the future of our community. As our world becomes more digital, and people have less and less interaction with the natural world, our society begins to detach from the natural processes we are innately a part of. Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center not only stewards the pristine forest surrounding Jawbone Flats, but also provides dynamic hands-on learning opportunities for students and adults. By fostering these experiences for students, we help create a community connected to the natural world and in turn concern about wild places everywhere.
Donations directly support our education programs, helping students experience all the wonders of the ancient forest. Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center is unique among non-profits in that we do have an earned income component to our finances. However program fees do not cover the full cost of operations in Jawbone, your help is still needed.
2009 was a particularly trying year for all NPOs and Opal Creek was no exception. We need your support now more than ever before to ensure that our quality programs remain available to the public. There are three easy ways to donate:
- Call (503) 892-2782 and make a donation over the phone with your Visa or Mastercard. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Mail a check to Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center, 1220 SW Morrison Street, Suite 527, Portland, OR 97205.
- Click on the "donate" button below or on the right hand side bar on every page to donate by credit card online via PayPayl.
All donations are tax deductable.
Become a member - Every dollar donated to Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center supports our outstanding science-based education programs.
Your gift of $35 or more qualifies you for membership with Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center. Member benefits include mid-week cabin rental discounts, discounts on select workshops and summer camps, a subscription to our biannual newsletter, and a special members-only cabin reservation period. Membership is active until one year from the date of purchase.
