We are happy to annouce, that after over 5 years since the fires of 2020, Opal Creek is releasing a request for proposals from qualifying Debris Removal contractors.

This scope of work outlines Opal Creek AFC’s intent to finally remove burned debris consisting largely of metal and ash which will require aviation planning. Please read through the RFP carefully and provide any questions by 2/26/2026 to Augustus Gleason via email at Agleason@opalcreek.org.

Thank you in advance to all proposers. Opal Creek reserves the right to terminate this RFP at any time if deemed appropriate, and is not responsible for any costs associated with proposals. Opal Creek AFC will evaluate proposals based on the selection criteria and determine eligibility of contractors for interviews if needed.

Given weather constrained access to the site, a visit is not planned at this time. If weather allows during the RFP date ranges, please coordinate wit Augustus Gleason via email at Agleason@opalcreek.org if interested in site access. Otherwise it is required for all proposals to have reviewed available data and utilize available 3D drone derived terrain mapping of our 15 acre inholding and parcel access.
